Shell subcylindrical, compressed, very inequilateral; umbos small, distinct; post-dorsal margin concave, anterior side short, sharply rounded, posterior much produced, roundly truncate; ventral margin nearly parallel with the dorsal; growth striae only, no radials; hinge teeth oblique, laminate and imbricate, both anterior and posterior; ligamental groove narrow, elongate, posterior to the umbo. Distinguished by the laminate teeth.Type species: Lamellileda typica Cotton 1930. Distribution: Southern Australia.
