Pointed Kelp Shell. Shell elongate, conical, rather thick, smooth except for the surface sculpture of crowded microscopic striae which become coarser on the base; iridescent brownish yellow, with obscure and numerous obliquely longitudinal brown lines, which become white on the body whorl towards the aperture and tessellated on the base; sutures linear, obscurely pink or white margined; aperture slightly exceeding one-third of the shell height, oval, iridescent blue within; columella tooth below the middle, subacute. Diameter 10 mm., height 20 mm.
