Type locality. Davis Sea, Gouss-Station, 66°02.15'S, 89° 38'E, in 385 m.
Type material. Lectotype (designated by Engl 2012: 185): ZMB Mol. 62981, SL 5.2 mm; and two paralecto-types: ZMB (both are fragments of the shell).
Material examined
South Shetland Islands, between Déception and Livingston Islands, RV Lawrence M. Gould, stn 59,62°48.498'S, 60°43.5'W, 203 m (1 Iv, USNM 1123584).
Morphology
Protoconch high, paucispiral, of two rounded whorls, diameter c.0.8 mm, height c.0.92 mm, with finely granular surface. Protoconch-teleoconch transition marked by onset of spiral sculpture.
Radula of hypodermic simple marginal teeth. Teeth small (c.60 um long, 2.5% of AL without siphonal canal), straight. Tooth canal opens lat-erally at tooth base, opening roughly triangular, large. Apical opening latéral, long narrow oval. No barbs or blade. Tooth forms short, blunt spur above basai opening. Teeth connected to vestigial subradular membrane by wide and very thin ligament.

Davis Sea, off Enderby Land, Ross Sea, 193-385 m (Powell 1960; Numanami 1996), live 203 m.
