Description

Western Keyhole Limpet. Shell ovale, elevated conical: greyish-green externally, white within, a blue band surrounding the perforation ; posterior slope convex, anterior almost straight; perforation rectangular, slightly rounded posteriorly 2.2 mm. long and 1.4 mm. wide: internal callus surrounding perforation not truncate posteriorly, regular, 16 primary radials. secondary and tertiary radials developing later bringing the total to 55; 17 concentric laminae cross the radials forming scales at the intersections: radials notch the margin. Diameters 27mm. and 19.5 mm., height 13,3 mm.
