Shell cream or light brown, acutely lanceolately turreted. Whorls fifteen to eighteen, flattish or flatly convex, earlier ones smooth, later whorls encircled with seven or eight slightly elevated, irregular ridges and a well-developed keel at the base of each whorl close to suture. Further sculptured with numerous, fine, longitudinal, undulating lamellate striae. Interior cream. Aperture rounded, outer lip sharp, with a rather deep sinus. Size: 1,5 inches.

An acutely lanceolate species, somewhat resembling gunni (Reeve) but easily separated by its flatly convex whorls and more numerous concentric ridges.
