Description

Shell small, white, cream, or light brown; acuminate, turreted. Whorls twelve to thirteen, carinated, keels strong and of varying strength, on the penultimate whorl four appear, the peripheral one being much the largest and pronounced, a slight band appearing more or less at the sutures. Interior creamy white. Aperture rounded, outer lip sharp with a central rather deep sinus. Size: 1 inch.

Distribution

Locality: Bass Strait. Victoria. Recorded also from Tasmania where it was for some time known as Turritella tasmanica Tenison Woods, 1877
