Shell small to medium sized, thin, fusiform and turrated. Spire very high and with 8 volutions of teleoconch. Protoconch small, white lustrous and with 2 volutions. Whorl light yellowish brown, carries many spiral striations. Suture rather deep and shoulder angulated with a white spiral colour band. Posterior sinus shallow, wide and V-shaped. Selenizone wide, depressed and lies very near suture. Axial ridge nodulous on shoulder. Columella narrow, white, lustrous and twisted. Aperture narrow and lanceolate. Siphonal tube long and projected anteriorly with deep canal.
Types: Two shells stored in the writer's collection presented by HAYASHI ; type A, 46.3 mm high and 12 mm wide; type B, 43.7 mm high and 13.6 m wide.

There are 2 types A and B; A has distinct nodules of shoulder and B has relatively weak ones. This species is near kamakurana PILSBRY but is distinguished from it by less and more distinct nodules of shoulder and by white spiral band of it.
