Description

Shell elongate fusiform with tall conical spire and moderate long anterior canal; protoconch of about two whorls, smooth, mammillate ; spire almost same height of aperture plus siphonal canal; whorls 11 in number excluding protoconch; each whorl moderately angulated at median part, from which axial, low ridges commenced; body whorl angulated at shoulder with gently convexed base; aperture narrow pyriformis, outer lip thin and smooth, inner lip slightly concaved; siphonal canal straight, elongate and broadly opened. Sculpture consists of low axial ribs and fine spiral threads; axial rib commences abruptly at shouldered angulation, and forms fold like, oblique ridge, 13 to 14 per whorl; axials almost reach to lower suture; spiral threads encircle whole shell surface and overriden on axial ridges: sinus broad arcuate but deep, occupying whole of area between upper suture and shouldered angulation, then confluent below with outer lip. Shell colour pale yellowish white to creamy white. Measurement of the present material: Height 40.7 mm., Width 12.3 mm.
