All specimens examined from Kermadec Islands are small, none larger than 14 mm in height and most less than 10 mm, yet specimens that are otherwise morphologically identical attain 30 mm in shell height throughout much of its range. The conspecific status of large and small size morphotypes in Coralliophilinae has been genetically tested in a single case (Oliverio and Mariottini 2001b). Biological implications, however, remain obscure.

Indo-Pacific. Raoul Island, Kermadec Islands, 0-27 m, taken alive at 22-27 m from hermatypic coral Pocillopora damicornis (Linnaeus, 1758), on which it presumably feeds (Brook 1999: 453).
