We have not seen a specimen of this species; the following is taken, verbatim, from the original description:
"The shell is small, solid, [resembling an] elongated pentagonal pyramid in shape, [this appear-ance imparted] by the five strong axial varices. The surface is strongly sculptured and light brown in color, but usually soiled by calcareous dust [intritacalx]. The whorls are six in number, the two embryonic ones smooth and polished, but generally eroded in adult [individuals]. The succeeding four whorls each have three spiral cords, the upper one being weak and the other two very strong, with a deep groove between them. The varices are five on each whorl and beset with equal intervals, and the growth threads are distinct and somewhat lamellate crossing the spiral cords and grooves. The body whorl is large, higher than broad, occupying about three-fifths of the length of the shell, and narrowed toward the anterior end, and has nine spiral cords and five strong varices and many weak growth lines. The aperture is rather small, ovate in shape, narrowing towards the rather long and narrow anterior siphonal canal. The outer side of the columellar margin is expanded by the last varix, forming short scales corresponding with the grooves on the outer surface, and its inner wall has six white teeth regularly arranged. The inner margin is edged by the erect lip, and extends over the parietal wall. The siphonal canal is narrow and rather long and open. The umbilical chink between the fasciole and columellar wall of the canal is narrow.
"Height, 11.7 mm; breadth, 5.8 mm (holotype). Height, 9.8 mm; breadth, 5.5 mm (paratype). Height, 9.7 mm; breadth, 5.0 mm (paratype)."
