Shell smallish, solid, pointed, white, lacking prominent spines. The body appears to be smooth but is covered with faint spiral ribbing. There are seven strong, pointed, swollen, upright ribs, the tops of which are ornamented with orange patches on two strong horizontal lines just above the su-ture. There are also two of these orange lines about the middle of the body whorl and an orange splotch at the base. The shoulders slope sharply. There is a white callus on the parietal wall and there are three weak columellar folds lower down. The aperture is ovate to subcircular, with six strong teeth on the inside of the outer lip. The base is recurved."
