Description

Shell medium in size, 36.5 mm in height, 41.6 mm in length and 30.8 mm in breadth, solid, near trigonal ovate to squarish, inequivalve; sides angulated at the upper part, anterior side rounded, very short and posterior side extended, an obtuse angle from umbo to the posterior ventral corner, umbonal area swollen; surface sculptured with about 27 radial ribs, radial ribs of left and anterior of right valve granulated, and covered with a velvety brown epidermis.
Distribution: Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi and Taiwan Provinces of China; Thailand; India; Indonesia; Philippines; Japan.
Ecology: Found in sandy mud bottom of shallow waters.
