Description

Shell solid, well swollen, near elongate squarish, 19.0 mm in height, 29.3 mm in length and 18.1 mm in breadth; anterior side rounded and posterior rather wide, obliquely truncated; ligamental area elongate rhomboidal in shape, a shallow groove on each umbonal part; surface covered with a thin light-brown epidermis, and with about 23 radial ribs, ribs of left valve convex and wider than ones of right valve, interspaces between ribs depth.
Distribution: South China Sea; Tropical Indo-Pacific region.
Ecology: Found in muddy sand bottom of 22 - 51 m depth, uncommon in China.
