Interchangeable taxa

Besides having a more convex outline above the periphery, a keeled periphery and nearly flat or slightly convex outline below the periphery, Asperitas crystalae sp. nov. also has a denser shell than the other known Asperitas that are a bit fragile. Compared with A. stuartiae yani from West Timor, Indonesia, which has a rather keeled periphery, A. crystalae sp. nov. has a more convex shell outline above the periphery, a nearly flat or slightly convex outline below the periphery, a smaller shell size, and fine radial striae.
