Type Locality: Beringin Village, Bakalan (Bangkalan) Islet, north of Peleng Island, Banggai Islands, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia.
Distribution: Bakalan Islet, Peleng Island, and Banggai Island; all are in Banggai Islands, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The examined material originated from Beringin Village, Bakalan Islet, north of Peleng Island; Peleng Island; Posos Lalongo Village, Banggai Island; Potil Pololloba Village, Banggai Island.
Asperitas ayuae sp. nov. is distinct from the other Asperitas species by having an undulated shell surface on small and thin shell. Holotype 27.3 x 19.8 mm. Beringin Village, Bakalan Islet, north of Peleng Island, Banggai Islands, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia
