Description

Thukela hunter snail
Very similar to G. orientalis, but somewhat smaller, with more stronqlv convex whorls, and a broader columella lamella; the upper labral tooth is often nothing more than a small denticle on the side of the lower one. Length up to 5.5 mm. Soft parts unknown.
A poorly known species endemic to KwaZulu-Natal and to date recorded only from the lower Thukela Basin (Mfongosi and Weenen). G. framesi Burnup, 1 926, from the eastern Cape, has similar apertural dentition, but is considerably more elongate.
