Description

Animal varying in color from grayish black trough various shades of brown; rarely greenish or white. Length 3 inches. Shell oval-oblong, with nearly parallel margins, a little dilated anteriorly; columella wide, callous, not truncate in front. Epidermis greenish or brownish. Length of shell 13-17 mm.
Synonymy:
This is T.burdigalensis, Gassies, T. oceanica and T. canariensis, Grateloup.
