Description

60mm. Heavy, spire short, pointed. Sutures well defined. Narrow aperture almost length of shell. Columella smooth, straight. Thin-edged lip has broad, shallow stromboid notch. Shallow posterior and siphonal canals. Prominent nodules at shoulder of last whorl. Fine spiral striae cover shell. Creamy white with spiral and axial rows of brownish flecks and zigzags. Columella orange; aperture orange-white. Habitat: intertidal in sand.
