"The shell is roundly ovate in shape, with a very long siphonal canal. The spire is conically elevated and consists of five whorls, the surface of which is sculptured with many lamellate cos-tae and crowded with a series of triangular nodules on the shoulders. This genus is also well recognized by [its] particularly long siphonal canal."
