Description

Shell large, attaining to 30 mm in length, depressed conical, rather thin, light yellowish white in colour, height about 50% of length; aperture oval in outline; one apical whorl reduced to a small hook, situated a little below the summit posteriorly; summit lies near posterior margin; anterior slope slightly convex and posterior nearly concave; anal fasciole narrow; fissure narrow and short, below one fifth length of the anterior slope. Sculptures are like those of fujitai, but not so strong in foveolate aspect; main radial ribs above 70 and rather obsolete in alternating of main and accessory ribs. Length of aperture 30 mm, width of aperture 21mm and height 12.5 mm.

Interchangeable taxa

This species is like fujitai but is distinguished by lower shell which is so much conical, with summit situated nearer to posterior margin, and by more delicate and obsolete surface sculptures.
