Description

35mm. High spired, whoris keeled at periphery. Aperture, about twice length of spire, has low spiral ridges inside. Outer lip has low, blunt teeth at ends of apertural ridges. Umbilicus a mere chink. Strong, nodulous, spiral cords, about 5 on last whorl; up to 3 fine, spiral ridges between cords. Surface covered with densely crowded, axial scales. Greyish axially streaked reddish brown across nodules; brown-edged outer lip; apertural ridges may be brown. Habitat: under intertidal rocks.
