Description

90mm. Solid, semitranslucent. spire angle about 10 grades. Each whorl overhangs succeeding whorl to make sutures deep; strong spiral ridges on lower part of whorls, lesser ridges above. Thin-edged aperture squarish, columella straight. Whitish heavily mottled with brown fading to orange-brown. Length varies greatly. Habitat: muddy sand among stones.
