Popis

This beautiful Pupa comes in one main pattern of dots, interrupted by a white line in the center, but the color varies from grey to olive grey and then orange. Orange is the most common color, but a number of pure white shells has always been found. These need more study, as especially in the smaller white specimens, different species may be hidden. The species is relatively common in the Philippines, as we found an average of about 6 specimens a year. We got material from the following places: Aliguay, Balabac, Bantayan, Bohol, Calituban, Caubian, Camotes Islands, Cebu, Cuyo Islands, Mactan, Nocnocan, Olango, Palawan. All material quite shallow. From outside the Philippines, recorded from Australia, China, Fiji, French Polynesia, Madagascar, New Caledonia, New Hebrides, South Africa and Thailand.
