DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Iravadia ornata is known from Burma, Thailand and Hong Kong. It is currently found in brackish water of drainage creeks of mud flats, Nipa and mangrove swamps, and in estuarine areas of rivers, living partly buried in mud, feeding on decaying organic matter (BRANDT, 1974).
