Shell small, acute, rosaceous, solid, with six whorls, excluding the (damaged) nucleus, differing from Cymatosyrinx elissa by its more slender shell, wider fasciole, over which the ends of the ribs reach the preceding suture, forming a more pronounced shoulder at the periphery, and having the whole shell spirally sculptured by small equal threads with subequal interspaces. The pillar is longer and the canal distinct, longer, and somewhat constricted. Otherwise the shells of both species are very similar and the nucleus, though damaged, appears to have been of the same character. Height of shell 11 mm; Height of last whorl 6.5 mm.; diameter 4.5 mm.
