Length 5.7 min., width 1.6 mm,, aperture 2.5 mm.
Shell small, sub-cylindrical, slender, white. Protoconch with a small erect globular nucleus, the next whorl inflated, in the type somewhat corroded, but apparently with spiral threads. Mature whorls four, with flat sides, sharply angled at the shoulder, the base excavate. Sculpture of irregularly spaced axial keels, about 9 to 11 on the earlier whorls, about 13 on the body whorl, well defined and raised on the earlier whorls, less defined on the body whorl, tending to form a continuous varix on the spire above the aperture and on the opposite side, but neither varix well defined. Spiral sculpture a well defined keel above the excavate base, with eight cords between this and the periphery, the shoulder nearly smooth, spiral cords also on the columella. Aperture nearly oblong, the outer margin straight, the rib forming the varix terminating abruptly, with a thin concave edge to the narrow, short, fairly deep canal. The sinus on the shoulder, excavated in the varix, deep and rounded, its upper margin arched above the suture. Inner margin nearly straight, with a narrow callus.
