The shell is slender, pale yellow with chocolate bands below the sutur, below the periphery and terminal on the canal. Spire turrited, the apex acute, with 1 ½ smooth whorls followed by a turn with fine axial riblets and spiral threads, and 6 ½ subsequent whorls, which are conspicuously angular in the middle. Surface without gloss, with axial sculpture of strong ribs, about half as wide as their broadly concave intervals, angulate in the middle, seven on the last whorl. Lines of increment fine, rather weak, curving forward gently above the anal fasciole. Spiral sculpture of low, small cords, one at the angle of the whorl larger, somewhat swollen where it overrides the ribs. Below the periphery and on the anterior canal the spirals are stronger than above it. The aperture is small, anal sinus barely indicated. Outer lip sharp, with an external rib. Anterior canal short and shallow.
Length 9.2 mm., diam. 3 mm.
