Shell elongate, conic, semitransparent, with white varices scattered at irregular intervals, nuclear whorls as in A. supralirata Cpr. Post-nuclear whorls well rounded, appressed at the summit. Delicate, incised spiral lines appear on the post-nuclear whorls, gradually increasing in number to about twelve on the body whorl. Suture distinct. Aperture broadly ovate, outer lip thin- and transparent, columella straight, color pale cream, with conspicuous interrupted revolving bands of chestnut brown between the spiral incised lines over the entire surface. Length 7 mm., diam. 2.4 mm. The present species has the nuclear whorls as in A. supralirata Cpr.; is somewhat the form of A. jeanettae Bartsch but is more slender than either and has the very conspicuous interrupted brown bands over the entire un-eroded surface.
