Siliquaria australis: Frequently washed up on beaches. In life these shells are found in colonies generally embedded in sponges. On one of her fishing cruises, the trawler Endeavour obtained in Bass Strait an immense assemblage measuring six feet long by one foot. The species occurs in Tasmania and South Australia.
