Popis

The shell is small, slender, white with a broad brown zone below the periphery. First two whorls smooth (worn), the next half whorl with four spiral cords bearing low tubercles in axial series. Subsequent whorls with axial wave-like ribs, which after the first have each three low tubercles, the last whorl with about sixteen ribs, weakly continued over part of the base, each with four tubercles, those of the fourth series smaller than the third. Spiral sculpture of fine even striae, weak or wanting on the summits of the tubercles; on the base of the last whorl there are in addition about six widely spaced impressed lines, with an equal number of weaker, closer lines on the anterior extension. The aperture is acute above, elsewhere of about equal width. Siphon wide but not very deep. No differentiated siphonal fasciole. Axis minutely pervious. This peculiar species differs by the sculpture of the third whorl. Length 7.5, diam. 2.2 mm.; 7.5 whorls.
