Distribution: Virginia to Florida, Texas; West Indies. Size: 6 to 9 mm
Description: Color of spire and base glossy white, area in between sometimes brown; shape slender, conic; sculpture of smooth, flat-sided whorls; sutures not well defined; whorls taper to sharp apex; umbilicus a short, narrow channel behind a somewhat thickened columella; aperture ovate, teardrop shaped, slender; outer lip thin, slightly flared at base; operculum corneous. Habitat: Ectoparasite on sea cucumbers; in bays; common in beach drift. Depth range 0 to 366 m (1200 ft).
Remarks: Probably the most common eulimid on the Texas coast in beach drift. Live material can be found on the shelf area off the Texas coast.
