The only specimen of this species at our disposal is so worn that its details are unrecognizable; the following is based on the original description and figure:
The shell is small (maximum length 50 mm) and club-shaped. The spire is high, consisting of one and one-half bulbous nuclear whorls and five convex, subangulate postnuclear whorls. The suture is strongly impressed. The body whorl is moderately large and inflated. The aperture is very large and subcircular, with a barely perceptible anal sulcus. The outer apertural lip is erect and microscopically, marginally crenulate; its inner surface is almost smooth, except in the shoulder region, where it is finely denticulate, short for the genus and is apparently briefly sealed at its top.
The body whorl bears three spinose varices, these somewhat sulcate on their trailing edges. Intervarical axial sculpture consists of five or six weak costae, these nodulose over the major spiral elements. The weak spiral elements are of primary, secondary, and tertiary comparative strengths. Three primary cords are found on the body, each giving rise to a moderately short, rapidly tapering, closed spine, one at the shoulder margin, one medial, and one basal. Single secondary cords alternate with the primaries, giving rise to slightly shorter intercalary spines between the primaries. The spines are oriented according to their points of origin; spines on the upper third of the body point upward at 45°. A single short spine is evident at the top of the siphonal canal. Shell color is uniform white or gray.
