70mm. Solid, low spired, about 6 swollen, stepped spire whorls (protoconch absent from available material). Long, straight, almost closed, siphonal canal lacking spines. 3 varices per whorl, without spines with 4 prominent axial ribs between them on later whorls. Irregular spiral cords on all whorls, nodular at shoulders. Aperture obliquely circular; inner lip thin and protruding. Creamy with reddish-brown spiral cords and brown blotches in front of varices; aperture white, its margins apricot or violet tinted. Habitat: offshore and beached.
