The shell is moderately small (maximum length 20 mm) and fusiform. The spire is high, consisting of five moderately convex postnuclear whorls and a protoconch of undetermined nature. The suture is moderately impressed. The aperture is ovate, with a moderately deep, U-shaped anal sulcus. The outer apertural lip is thickened and marginally crenulate; its inner surface bears six prominent denticles, the third one down being the largest. The columellar lip is adherent above, detached and erect below; the anterior end of the columella bears a single elongate plait extending into the upper canal. The siphonal canal is of moderate length, broad, moderately open, and weakly, dorsally recurved.
The body whorl bears seven strong, rounded, nodulose varices. The interspaces are approximately as wide as the varices. Intervarical axial sculpture is lacking. Spiral sculpture consists of nine major cords: one above the shoulder margin, six on the body, and three on the canal. The cords diminish in size anteriorly. Three or four raised threads occur between the major cords. Where the major cords intersect the varices, strong, transversely expanded nodes are developed.
Shell color is light fleshy orange-brown. The aperture is white.
