Globular shell 25 mm in height and 24 mm in width, with obvious suture, low spire and very expanded last whorl; outer surface smooth, with dense growth lines; ground colour yellowish-white, with purple apex and longitudinally ranged purplish-brown flecks, epiderm yellowish-brown; aperture oval, covered by a thick calcarious operculum bearing a rib along its margin; whitely polished inner lip slightly curved; umbilicus nearly filled up by funicular pad, only leaving a small crevice.
