Shell. This tends to be larger than in Marshallora adversa, having 12 post-larval whorls, and relatively broader. Four tuberculated spiral ridges and one plain one lie on the body whorl above the aperture; there is no division of spiral ridges as they approach the aperture nor do the tubercles elongate noticeably in this region. In the protoconch the embryonic whorl is marked with a fine square reticulation. Colour. Uniform brown.
Size. 6-7x2,5 mm. Last whorl = 33-35% of total shell height; aperture = 23% of shell height. Colour of animal. The head and foot are mottled with reddish and yellow marks; the tentacles are yellow.
Geographical distribution. Recorded from Western Mediterranean and Bay of Biscay but probably extends to at least the south-western parts of the British Isles.
