This species main characteristic is the teleconch sculpture made by either protuberances or aligned and quite evident roundish pearls-like, shaping at the crossing between the axial ribs and the spiral striae. This sculpture is present at the shell base too. In his original work the author compares A. elisae with its similar ones A. lineata, A. settepassii and A. schwartziana, with which it has analogies as far as the sculpture of the protoconch is concerned, but he puts in evidence the teleconch differences since lineata has a thinner spiral sculpture not blending with the axial ribs which are in a lower number. Compared with settepassii it is more roundish in outline, it has a larger number of axial ribs and a "pearl-like" sculpture missing in settepassii. Moreover elisae is compared with schwartziana from which it differs since it has a larger number of axial ribs and a different spiral sculpture that in schwartziana is made by spiral lines non prominent, non overhanging the axial ribs and by a base with three spiral cords. From waxen white to dark brown in colour pattern, w ith a protoconch always dark red wine in colour. The animal has a transparent foot with margins bright yellow in colour as per its tentacles. The adult specimens average measures are around 3.5-4 mm.
