This species is rather constant in its form and colour. Really conic in shell, whorls either flat-sided or not much convex, suture incised. Spiral sculpture made by cords (four on last whorl) formed by small granules reddish in colour on a ground light beige. It is recognizable from its similar ones since the second adapical cord is formed by the splitting of the first one. Indeed nodules stretch vertically until a median groove appears becoming larger and larger forming two distinct cords. Its peculiar colour, visible inside its mouth too and its place of origin help in the identification of this species, its juvenile shells included. Average measures of adult specimens are around 10 mm in height.
