Pusia savignyi: Giannuzzi Savelli (1985, pages 108-109) put in evidence the differences of the shell and those of the animal and radula between this species and V. tricolor. Shell biconic in form, convex whorls with deep sutur and thick axial ribs (10 on the last whorl) as wide as the interspaces. Columella with three well defined teeth, external lip finelly denticulated internally. Ground colour pattern orange with an enlarged white streak, more defined on the ribs in the half of the whorl. The animal is cream white in colour, with a small black spot on the back of the foot. The average height is 7 mm.

Pusia savignyi: Distribution: never common. It can be found in the Western Mediterranean mainly. Habitat: it lives under the stones and into the coarse rubble up to 25-30 m depth.
