DESCRIPTION Shell small, conical inflated, last whorl slightly constrict, moderately impressed sutures. Protoconch conical of 4 smooth convex whorls; colorless, semitransparent. Teleoconch of 6 whorls with sculpture of 3 spiral cords (1 and 2 closer) crossed by axial ribs, about 20 on last whorl; beads at each intersection. A fourth beaded cord is emerging at the base of the last whorl from the insertion of the outer lip; border between columella and base highlighted by a thin cord. Columella short and broad, obliquely truncated, with a surface crossed by thin crisp threads; a columellar callus bordering an oval aperture; anal sulcus and siphonal canal well defined. Background color brown, sutures and 1 spiral darker, beads paler.
COMPARISON Cerithiopsis domlamyi n. sp. is compared with the similar Cerithiopsis fusiformis (C. B. Adams, 1850) from Cuba, which mainly differs by a thin adapical spiral on the protoconch.
ETYMOLOGY Named after Dominique Lamy, author of the land- mark volumes Mollusques marins et dulçaquicoles.
