The wing-like costae on this species give it a broad outline. It has been found off Transkei, South Africa, in deep water and reaches a maximum size of about 4mm. There are about 4.5 teleoconch and an equal number of protoconch whorls. There are about 13 thin erect costae per whorl with spout-like peaks below the suture. The spiral threads between the costae are very fine. The color is white and the aperture is oval. Both the suture and the umbilicus are narrowly open.
