Imperforate, low-turbinate, thin ; spire conical, apex light, obtuse; whorls 5,5, slightly convex, the last either rounded or subangular at the periphery, not descending in front; surface smooth, lightly striatulate, color cream white, becoming light brown on the latter half of the body-whorl, white on the spire, encircled by a narrow dark brown band bordering the suture below, a wider band at the periphery, and another on the base midway between axis and periphery ; all visible within the aperture. Aperture very oblique, sub-rhombic ; lip white or light brown, the columella brown.
The lip is bordered behind by a light and then a dark streak. The upper lip is slightly expanded, notably arched forward, receding toward the outer angle of the mouth. The columellar lip is spread in a thin brown callus over the impressed umbilical region. The edge of the columella is thickened ; it is not truncated at the base.
