Antillophos borneensis: Phos borneensis Sowerby, 1859. Type locality: Borneo.
This species is characterized by its small size in combination with a cancellate sculpture with fine spiral cords visible in the interspaces. The species we studied show a high degree of variability in thickness of axial ribs, the wide of the axial interspaces, the smooth or sharp incremental lines and the thickness
of the shell. Also the shape varies: some specimen are very elongate. It is not impossible that wat we call at present A. cf. borneensis yields several hard to distinguish taxa. We have viewed specimens from Aliguay and Balicasag (coll. Conchology, Inc. coll. Fraussen), off Siquijor (coll. Conchology, Inc.), and off Davao Del Sur (coll. De Donder-Goethals).

Antillophos borneensis: A. (A.) bathyketes (Watson, 1882), from Philippine deep water is similar in sculpture but differs by the elongate shape with higher spire, by the more narrow axial interspaces, which are much smoother with only minute spiral cords. Watson mentions the absence of varices.
