Antillophos roseatus: Phos roseatus Hinds, 1844:463. Type locality: Indonesia, Sumatra.
This beautiful and large species is characterized by the slender shape with high spire and rather narrow body whorl, and by a sharp cancellate sculpture. One must admire the wide pallet of colours, ranging from pastel pink over orange or purplish to dark chocolate brown.
RANGE
From East Africa (South Africa to the Red Sea) in the west to the Philippines and Australia in the east. This species is locally common, in the Visayas it's rather rare.
