Pink Trivia
Distribution: Florida, Texas; West Indies to Brazil. Size: 6 to 12 mm
Description: Color bright pink with suffused mottlings of brown, aperture whitish-rose; shape elongate-globose; sculpture of somewhat numerous interrupted ribs that create a distinct furrow at midregion of the dorsal surface of shell; aperture long, narrow; rostrate canals at both ends; labrum and columella rolled inward; anomphalous.
Habitat: On rocks associated with tunicates. In Texas found at FGB and Stetson Bank. Depth range 0 to 525 m (1722 ft).
Remarks: N. suffusa lay their eggs in walls of tunicates. See Andrews (1977). Synonym: Trivia suffusa (Gray, 1827).
