Shell oval-oblong, with a thin, olivaceous, shining epidermis; last whorl large, sometimes attenuated at the base ; aperture elliptical-oblong, half or more than half the length of the shell ; columella twisted or truncate below, outer lip simple, frequently somewhat inflected in the middle.
