Shell size typical for genus, adult size up to ca. 9 mm; fusiform, elongate. Suture slightly impressed. Protoconch paucispiral, -1.6 smooth whorls. Teleoconch of five whorls. Axial sculpture present only on two first whorls, consisting of very weak, low axial riblets. Subsequent whorls smooth. Spiral sculpture of basal cords, ventrally ranging to adapical edge of columella. Outer lip slightly thickened, smooth, bearing only continuation of basal cords. Inner lip denticulate, with seven equally spaced denticles of unequal size. Columellar callus thickened. Parietal callus weak, almost obsolete. Columella with row of four, partially merged denticles. Siphonal canal short, open, straight. Teleoconch whorls semi-translucent, pale beige in colour. Protoconch semi-translucent, pale beige. Aperture and columella off-white. Holotype height 8.2 mm.

This species is most similar to Mitrella nix n. sp., but differs in the thin axial sculpture on the early teleoconch whorls, the more bulbous teleoconch whorls, the less bulbous protoconch, the somewhat smaller and narrower shape and the colour.
