MATERIAL EXAMINED: Holotype from Cumberland Bay, South Georgia, 252-310 m.
DISTRIBUTION: Apparently confined to South Georgia.
REMARKS: The original figure is rather small and lacks detail and Thiele's figure docs not appear to represent L. impervia. In order to give a reasonable basis for comparison the holotype of L. impervia is here refigured. The outer lip and a portion of the last whorl is now broken off. The species is wider than Strebels original figure indicates. Sculpture on the last whorl consists of fine incised spiral striae present over only the periphery and base of the last whorl. There are two more or less strong spiral grooves on the periphery and finer spiral striae across the base with five much stronger spiral striae close to the pillar.
