BRITISH COLUMBIA CRENELLA 1 Crenella columbiana Dall, 1897a: 4; C. tamurai Habe, 1955a: 26- Shell highly inflated, subquadrate; posterior end broadly rounded. Sculpture of fine radial striae, and minute, irregular commarginal striae. Periostracum thin, light to dark brown. Length to 11 mm. This species has an oblique anteroventral margin, whereas Vilasina seminuda has a rounded anteroventral margin. Kiska Island, Aleutian Islands (52.0°N, 177.6°E) [USNM], west to Cook Inlet (60°N) [LACM], Alaska, south to Point Loma, California (32.7°N) [CSDOMP], and west to Siberia and northern Japan, in 20 - 500 m.
