45mm. Solid, high spired, about 7 rounded whorls, sutures indented by varices; protoconch of about 2.5 granulose, rounded whorls. Long, straight, narrowly open siphonal canal lacking spines. 3 rounded varices per whorl with short spines where crossed by spiral cords; axial ridges between varices. Aperture lirate within. Creamy with faint spiral, brown bands at shoulder and base of last whorl; spiral cords topped with reddish brown lines. Illustrated shell is from the Andaman Is. Habitat: offshore.
